Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 1/4 c. peanuts
  • 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 ounce. bitter chocolate
  • 1 1/2 pound sliced, roasted chicken or possibly turkey
  • 2 tbsp. fat
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. almonds
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Saute/fry bread in fat, then drain and remove. Saute/fry garlic and onion in the same fat. Grind bread, garlic, onion and nuts very fine to make a paste. Add in chili pwdr, broth, spices, sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add in chocolate, stirring till melted. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Add in chicken or possibly turkey slices (cut thin or possibly in small pcs) and simmer about 1 hour till flavors are blended. Makes 6 portions.
