    This cake is absolutely delicious and only takes 5 minutes from start to EAT! I sprinkled chopped strawberries over the finished cake and added a very generous quantity of double cream. This cake was prepared during ad break on TV after all, what are TV ad breaks for ?

    Ingredients

    • FIVE MINUTES CHOCOLATE (COFFEE MUG) CAKE
    • 4 tablespoons plain flour
    • 2 tablespoons coca
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips or grated chocolate (optional)
    • A small splash of vanilla essence
    • 4 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 3 tablespoons oil
    • A pinch of salt
    • 1 LARGE coffee mug (or soup mug) spray with Spray ‘n Cook

    Directions

    1. Place the dry ingredients in the mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and again mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and the vanilla essence, then mix again.
    2. Put the mug in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes on high. The cake will rise over the top of the mug but don’t be alarmed. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then tip onto a plate.
    3. EAT ! – This can serve 2 people if you want to feel slightly more virtuous………….!!!!!!!
    4. Why is this the most dangerous cake in the world? Because you are only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night.
