  • Tasty Tacos

    Authentic tex-mex flavor your whole family will love.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 red potato, chopped
    • 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
    • 1 cup chopped cilantro
    • 2 tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tbsp garlic powder
    • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
    • 8 flour tortillas
    • 1 tomato
    • 2 cups shredded lettuce
    • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

    Directions

    1. Mix onion, bell pepper, potato, jalapeno, cilantro, chili powder, garlic powder, and pepper into ground beef.
    2. Brown beef mixture in frying pad.
    3. In another pan, heat flour tortillas one at a time by cooking for a few seconds on each side. Stack cooked tortillas on a plate and cover with a clean towel as you work.
    4. Drain excess grease from beef mixture.
    5. To assemble tacos, place a heaping spoonful of beef mixture in the center of each flour tortilla, and top with cheese, lettuce, and tomato; then fold in half.
    6. Serve with salsa, guacamole, and/or sour cream.
