  • Taco Cassserole

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound grnd beef
    • 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
    • 1 env. taco seasoning mix
    • 2 1/2 c. crushed nacho or possibly corn chips (great for using up the bottom of bag)
    • 1 (16 ounce.) can refried beans
    • 1/2 c. (2 ounce.) shredded cheddar cheese

    Directions

    1. Brown grnd beef; drain. Add in 1 1/2 c. of the tomato sauce (reserve remainder) and the packet of taco seasoning to the grnd beef; mix well.
    2. Line the bottom of a 12"x8"x2" baking dish with 2 c. of the chips. Spoon meat mix over the chips in the baking dish. Combine remaining tomato sauce and beans. Spread proportionately over cooked meat mix.
    3. Bake in 375 degree oven about 25 min. Remove, sprinkle remaining crushed chips and the shredded cheese over the casserole. Return to oven to heat cheese, about 2 to 3 min more. About 6 servings.
