Sweedish Meat Balls
Ingredients
- Basic meat balls
- 2 x Beef bouillon cubes
- 1 c. Boiling water
- 1/3 c. Flour
- 1/2 tsp Allspice
- 1 c. Evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
Directions
- Prepare 36 or possibly more small meat balls. While they are browning, dissolve bouillon cubes in 1 c. boiling water. After meat balls are browned, add in bouillon. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat; cover the skillet and simmer for 15 min. Remove from the heat. Stir in the flour a little at a time.
- Add in allspice and slowly stir in the evaporated lowfat milk and 1/2 c. water. Cook uncovered over low heat; stir occasionally. When the sauce is thickened
- (about 10 min), stir in lemon juice and serve immediately with buttered noodles.
