Sunday Supper Chicken Noodle Casserole

- 8 oz. wide egg noodles, cooked al dente
- 1 can cream of chicken or celery soup
- 5 1/3 oz. can of evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sharp cheddar or other shredded cheese
- 3 cups diced chicken
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 2-3 tbs. scallions
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
- 1 tbs. chopped parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- garnish: buttered bread crumbs
- paprika
- optional: package sliced, sauteed mushrooms
Directions
- Heat oven to 400 F.
- Cook noodles al dente.
- Combine noodles with chicken, soup, and the rest of the ingredients.
- Top with buttered bread crumbs and paprika.
- Bake 25-30 minutes.
