Sugar Cookies
These are a wonderful version of the Christmas favorite. They are lighter and fluffier version which makes them wonderful! This is given to me by a great friend Paula Sobey. It has been passed down in her family for generations from her "Great Nana". Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups of Sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
Directions
- Preheat oven 350
- Cream together softened butter and sugar
- Add eggs and vanilla and buttermilk
- Combine all dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt)
- Chill for 24 hours in refridgerator
- Roll out and use them to cut out for the holiday cookies!
- Bake for 7-10 minutes when edges brown
