Strawberry Smoothie
Prep: 10 min Servings: 2by Blaire H2 recipes>A strawberry smoothie, not as sweet as the store/shop purchased ones. Easy to make. We think it could better with added chocolate, in bits/small quantity. What do you think? The xylitol adds 10 calories, 4 carbs per serving. The protein powder adds 40 calories, 8g protein, and 3 carbohydrates per serving. Ingredients
- 1 T Almond Butter
- 1/2 c milk
- 5 large strawberries, frozen
- 2 tsp xylitol sweetener
- dash of cinnamon
- 1/8 rolled oats
- 3 T whey protein powder vanilla (approx. 1 scoop)
- 2 T maca root powder
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a blender just as strawberries are able to be blended. Serve with a spoon in a small dish. Top with a dollop of whipped cream, fresh berries chocolate shavings, and coconut shavings. Drizzled chocolate syrup might be nice, or little chunks of chocolate.
