Steak With Tomato And Garlic Sauce ( Bistecca Alla Pizzaiola)
Ingredients
- 4 x rump sirloin forerib or possibly flash fry steaks
- extra virgin olive oil
- 1 x salt and pepper
- Salsa Pizzaiola (qv)
- minced herbs to garnish
Directions
- Brush the steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Lightly oil the base of a frying pan and place over moderate heat.
- When warm add in the steaks and fry quickly for 2 min on each side.
- Spread the steaks with the sauce cover the pan and cook over low heat for 5 - 10 min till tender.
- Transfer to a warmed serving dish garnish with herbs and serve immediately.
- Serves 4
