    Spicy Beef Picadillo

    Just like the normal picadillo recipe only that i used ground beef and added chili for spice. Enjoy!

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 tsp dried oregano
    • 1 tsp chili powder
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 1 med red onion (chopped fine)
    • 1 small green bell pepper (chopped)
    • 1 small red bell pepper (chopped)
    • 1/2 cup beef stock
    • 3/4 cup tomato sauce
    • 2 med carrots (peeled and diced)
    • 2 med potatoes (peeled and diced)
    • 1 cup fresh green peas
    • 8 green olives (optional)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Canola oil for sautéing
    • 1 tsp Olive oil

    Directions

    1. Combine the ground beef, oregano, chili powder, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
    2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and garlic until soft.
    3. Add the ground beef mixture, beef stock. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
    4. Add the diced potatoes and carrots. Cover and cook another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are done.
    5. Add the tomato sauce and olives and peas
    6. Cook uncovered for 15 minutes or until the liquid is fully evaporated, but the meat is still moist.
    7. Sprinke the olive oil on top before serving.
