Spiced Shrimp with Sweet Mustard Sauce

This shrimp appetizer will have you hooked after the first bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Raw Med Shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 t Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 t Ground Coriander
  • 1/4 t Dried Oregano
  • Dash of Red Pepper
  • 4 t Oil, for cooking optional
  • or
  • Melted Butter, optional
  • Sauce:
  • 1/3 c Sour Cream, fat free works well
  • 3 T Dijon Mustard
  • 2 1/2 T Peach or Apricot Jam

Directions

  1. Place spices and shrimp in lrg plastic sealable bag. Shake well to coat shrimp and let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour. In hot oil in med fry pan cook in batches, turning shrimp over, until shrimp just turn pink and opaque throughout. This will be quick so be careful not to over cook or shrimp will be rubbery. Shrimp can also be brushed w/ melted butter and broiled or grilled.
  2. Mix sauce together an let sit in refrigerator while shrimp are marinating.
