Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift flour and baking soda, set aside. Cream butter,sugar and oil until pale and fluffy. Add vanilla extract. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition.Stir in sour cream and flour mixture. Mix well. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
