Smoked Salmon Mousse

  • 1/2 pound smoked salmon
  • 1/2 pound cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. minced scallions
  • 1/4 c. finely minced fresh dill
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Freshly grnd pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd cumin
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
  • 2 tbsp. vodka (plain or possibly lemon flavored)


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or possibly blender. Blend to a fine puree. Spoon and scrape the mix into a serving dish. Smooth the top. Chill.
  2. Serve (cold, not cool) with buttered toast, minced onion and liquid removed capers on the side. Yields about 4 c..
