Slow Cooked Turkey And Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients
- 3 med sweet potatoes peeled, and
- cut into 2" pcs
- 3 x turkey thighs - (abt 1 1/2 lbs) skin removed
- 1 jar homestyle turkey gravy - (12 ounce)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp dry parsley
- 1/2 tsp dry rosemary crushed
- 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 pkt frzn cut green beans - (10 ounce)
Directions
- Layer sweet potatoes and turkey in 4- to 5-qt crockpot, mix remaining ingredients, except beans, till smooth and pour over the turkey and sweet potatoes.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour. Reduce heat to LOW and cook 5 hrs. Stir in beans. Cover and cook 1 to 2 hrs till juice of turkey isn't pink anymore when you cut the thickest pcs.
- Remove turkey and vegetables with a slotted spoon. Stir sauce and serve with turkey and vegetables.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
