• Slow Cooked Chicken And Scalloped Potatoes

    • 1 x 7.8-ounce pkg hungry jack creamy scalloped
    •     potatoes
    • 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
    • 2 1/2 c. boiling water
    • 1 c. lowfat milk
    • 3/4 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs halved
    • 3/4 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts quartered
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1 med onion thinly sliced
    • 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
    • 1 c. green giant frzn sweet peas


    1. 1. In 3 1/3 to 4-qt slow cooker, combine sauce mix from potatoes, potatoe slices and margarine. Add in boiling water; stir till margarine melts. Add in lowfat milk; mix well. Top with chicken pcs; sprinkle with pepper. Top with onion; stir gently.
    2. 2. Cover; cook on low setting 6 to 7 hrs or possibly till chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear, and potatoes are tender.
    3. 3. Stir in lowfat sour cream and peas. Cover; cook on low setting for an additional 15 min.
    4. 6 (1 1/3 c.) servings
    5. NOTES : They'll come running anytime you serve this complete meal cooked in a slow cooker. You will not even need a side dish.
