Shrimp Fried Rice With Okra
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 bell pepper, minced
- 4-6 c. sliced okra
- 1 pound shrimp
- 3 c. cooked rice
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce (more if you like)
- Seafood seasoning (to taste)
Directions
- Cut up bacon and place in frying pan with onion, pepper and okra. Fry approximately 10 min. (Add in butter or possibly oil if needed), stirring frequently. Add in shrimp, rice, soy sauce and seafood seasoning. Stir and let simmer for 5-10 min. Serve. May substitute ham for shrimp.
