Shrimp Fettucine Alfredio
Skill level is easy with a five star result. Ingredients
- 1 package Fettucine pasta
- 1 tbl spoon olive oil
- 2 qts water
- 1/2 lb gulf shrimp without shells
- 4 tbl unsalted butter
- 3 tbl spoons garilc in oil
- 1 qt heavy whipping cream
- 2 egg yolks
- 16 oz parm. Cheese
- parsley for garnish and taste
Directions
- Place water in lg pot bring to boil
- add olive oil to water
- add pasta to boiling water and oil mixture
- in a pan add 2 tbl spoons butter, 1 tbl spoon garlic in oil and shrimp cook untill shrimp are dark pink almost brown in color
- in another pan over med heat add butter until melted
- add 2 tbl spoons drained garlic in oil stir for about 30 seconds
- add heavy whipping cream add 2 egg yolks and stir the mixture
- when cream starts to bubble add parm. Cheese a little at a time
- continue to stir until cheese is completly desolved
- remove shrimp from first pan and place in pan with alfredio mixture
- drain fettucine pasta and drain place pasta on plate
- dip out enough Alfredo mixture to cover pasta
- sprinkle parsley over alfredio serve hot with garlic bread
