  • Sausage And Egg Bake

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound warm sausage
    • 6 slices day old bread, crusts removed
    • 6 slices Swiss cheese
    • 1 c. lowfat milk
    • 1 c. half and half
    • 4 beaten Large eggs
    • Green onions, amount desired
    • 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/4 teaspoon each thyme, rosemary, sage, nutmeg

    Directions

    1. Cook sausage and drain well. Place bread in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Place cheese slices on top of bread. Sprinkle sausage over all. Combine remaining ingredients, except green onions, and pour over sausage. Sprinkle top with onions.
    2. Prepare 10 to 12 hrs ahead of serving. Chill. Bake at 325 degrees for about 50 min.
    3. Serves 8. A great make ahead brunch dish. Freezes well.
