Saltine Cracker Crumb Pie
Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 10 saltines, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 c. pecans, minced
- 1 c. whipping cream
Directions
- Beat egg whites till stiff. Sift together sugar and baking pwdr together and fold into egg whites. Add in minced pecans and saltines. Put mix into a 9 inch pie plate smoothing the top till it comes to the inner edge of the pie plate. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Pie won't be smooth in applesauce. When completely cold. Cover pie with whipped cream. Chill for 8-9 hrs. Before cutting, cut around edges with a sharp knife.
