Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. rum
  • 1/2 c. seedless raisins
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp. fresh grated lemon peel
  • 1 tbsp. fresh grated orange peel
  • 1/2 c. pecan pcs

Directions

  1. Pour rum over raisins and let set till raisins are puffed, several hrs. Mix sugar, water, cinnamon and boil 2 min. Add in raisins and rum. Cook 5 min. Add in vanilla. Remove from heat; add in lemon and orange peels and nuts. Serve hot over lb. cake or possibly ice cream.
