  • Root Beer Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 x egg
    • 1/4 c. buttermilk
    • 1 1/2 c. flour
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
    • 1 tsp root beer extract
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 2 c. confectioners sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp root beer extract
    • 1/3 c. butter or possibly margarine
    • 2 Tbsp. warm water

    Directions

    1. COOKIE DIRECTIONS: Mix brown sugar, butter, egg, buttermilk and root beer extract to a smooth batter. Add in dry ingredients and mix well. Place dough by tsp. 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 6-8 min.
    2. GLAZE DIRECTIONS: Combine ingredients, stir well and spread on cookies.
