    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 2/3 cup A & W root beer
    • 1 cup mini marshmallows
    • 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
    • 2 Tbsp. powder sugar
    • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
    • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 2 Tbsp. A & W root beer
    • 2 pieces root beer candy, crushed

    Directions

    1. Cake: Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs.
    2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to the egg mixture. Beat in root beer.
    3. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Spread marshmallow over batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
    4. Frosting: Beat heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form Set aside. Mix sugar, allspice, cinnamon and A & W root beer. Add sugar mixture to heavy whipping cream, mix well.
    5. Spread over cake.
    6. Spread root beer candy over the frosting.
