Roast Beef in Foil - Crockpot

This ridiculously easy prep roast turned out very tender and produced a delicious au jus. I roasted some root veggies to go with it. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb. chuck roast
  • 1 packet Beefy Onion Dry Soup mix
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • aluminum foil
  • opt: 2-3 T beef broth

Directions

  1. Sprinkle the seasonings on the roast (both sides) and wrap it well in foil.
  2. Place in the crockpot on high for 6 hours, or low for 8.
  3. When time is up, remove from the crockpot and let sit an hour.
  4. Unwrap and let cool slightly.
  5. Discard fat and taste for saltiness.
  6. If too salty add the broth.
  7. Serve as entrée or make sandwiches.
