Red Velvet Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ounce Red Velvet food coloring
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. butter
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 2 T cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 T vinegar
Directions
- Cream sugar and butter. Add in large eggs and beat well. Make paste of cocoa and food coloring. Add in salt and vanilla. Add in to the first mix. Alternately add in buttermilk and flour. Mix soda and vinegar; fold into batter. Bake at 375 degrees till browned and done.
