Real Jack Daniels Steak Marinade

This marinade can be used for steak or chicken. I just prefer steak. Remember folks - Jack Daniels is flammable.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Jack Daniels
  • 1/2 cup malt vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons nutmeg ground fresh
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh only)
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cloves ground
  • 1 clove garlic - crushed

Directions

  1. In a saucepan mix all of the liquid ingredients. Keep this on a medium-low heat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes then add in the dry ingredients. Once all the dry ingredients have been stirred in let this simmer for another 5 minutes then remove from heat. Place your meat in a heat-resistant container and pour the marinade over the meat. Let the marinade do it's thing for a minimum of 4 hours and up to 24 hours. Place your meat on the grill or BBQ and baste repeatedly.
