Its a experimental dish I made using raw banana's and fresh cream. Its mild spicy and tastes good.

    Ingredients

    • 4 raw bananas
    • 2 onions (coarsly chopped or cubed)
    • tomato purée 150ml
    • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 4 dried red chillies(soaked in warm water for 30 mins and pasted)
    • 3 cardamoms
    • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
    • cinnamon stick
    • 4 black pepper
    • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder(India spice mix)
    • fresh cream 150ml
    • cooking oil
    • Salt to taste
    • sugar

    Directions

    1. Prepare the raw banana's
    2. 1) Peel the hard skin off the banana's using either a peeler or by knife properly so that no green skill is left on them. Than cut into an inch think round slices.
    3. 2) Heat 3 table spoon oil in a non-stick pan and add the banana slices and fry till the banana colour changes to brownish/golden but do not burn them.
    4. 3) Now keep aside these fried banana's.
    5. Prepare the gravy
    6. 1) In deep non-stick pot add 4 table spoon of oil and add Fenugreek in hot oil, also add 1 stick of cinnamon, cardamoms, black pepper. fry for 30 secs and add onions and fry for 2-3 mins until onions start to become translucent.
    7. 2) Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala and now add ginger garlic paste and red chilly paste and add a little water and fry for 3-4 mins.
    8. 3) Now add tomato purée, fresh cream and 200 ml water. Also add salt as per your taste and cover the pot and let it sit for 4 mins.If you like you can add a pinch of sugar now.
    9. 4) Add the banana's and mix and cover again and let it sit for 10-15 mins. Keep checking once in a while if banana's are soft and the gravy if quite thick.
