• Pumpkin chocolate chip bread

    Super yummy, moist and festive for Fall. Simple to make too.


    • Recipe
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup canned pumpkin
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
    • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup nuts
    • Glaze is optional
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 2-3 tsp. milk


    1. In a large bowl mix together butter, sugar, eggs and pumpkin with a wire whisk. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts into batter, spread into greased 9 X 5 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 min. or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min. then turn out onto wire rack.
    2. Prepare glaze in small mixing bowl, stir powdered sugar and milk until smooth and thin enough to drizzle over loaf. Let glaze set up before slicing.
