Pretzel Salad
Prep: 20 min Cook: 8 min Servings: 12by Jean Walter3 recipes>I had never heard of pretzel salad much less tasted it until I moved to Delaware. We love it. It's a hit at every BBQ I bring it to. The kids love it !!!! Ingredients
- bag of pretzels
- stick of butter
- sugar
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 8 oz. cool whip
- 1 large box strawberry Jell-o
- bag frozen strawberries
Directions
- miz together and press into a casserole dish,
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- and 3/4 cup melted butter
- and 4 tsp sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Let cool completely. If you don't allow to cool completely, the mix will all run through to the bottom. Trust me on this.
- While the pretzels are colling mix together the cool whip, cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. spread over the cooled pretzels. Next mix the box of Jell-o with 1-3/4. Dissolve the Jell-o then add 2-1/2 cups crushed strawberries. Chill in fridge till Jell-o is set ( about 2 hours )
