    Pressure cooker pork in creamy sauce

    Deliciously tender and succulent pork in a rich creamy sauce done within 30 minutes in a pressure cooker.

    Ingredients

    • 400 g pork steaks (4 pork loin steaks )
    • 3 tbs corn flour
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp pepper
    • 2 tbs olive oil
    • 2 carrots, peeled, cut into chunks
    • 1 parsley root, peeled, cut into chunks
    • 50 g celeriac (celery root), peeled, cut into chunks
    • 4-5 dried plums, pitted
    • 200 ml white wine

    Directions

    Flatten the steaks just a little with a meat mallet. combine corn flour, salt and pepper.
    2.
    Dredge each steak, both sides, through the flour.

    Heat olive oil in pressure cooker over medium heat. Place pork steaks in the cooker, brown both sides of each steak, 2-3 minutes.

    Add root vegetables, prunes and wine. Cover the pressure cooker and bring to high pressure. Cook for 8 minutes. Turn off the heat, release pressure through natural release method. Once the steam is gone, open the cooker carefully.
    5.
    Transfer the vegetables and plums, together with the liquid, into a blender and blend to the consistency of thick gravy. If necessary, add some salt and pepper.
    6.
    Serve pork steaks topped with hot, creamy sauce, cooked bulgur or couscous and green salad.
