    I got this recipe round the holidays, I can't wait to give it a try :)

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup white sugar
    • 1/3 cup white corn syrup
    • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
    • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 cup pecans
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    Directions

    1. Toast pecans in 300 degree oven for 5 miutes
    2. Mix first 6 ingredients together and cook over medium heat to soft ball stage, stirring frequently
    3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and roasted pecans
    4. Stir with a wooden spoon for 3 to 6 minutes until mixture starts to thicken and color becomes creamy
    5. Quickly spoon candy onto waxed paper
    6. If the mixture becomes too stiff, return to heat (add 1 - 2 teaspoons of water if needed) and stir until it becomes soft an more fluid, then continue to spoon out
