Portuguese Sangria
Delicious for a party and looks great in a punch bowl! Ingredients
- 1 bottle of red wine - preferably Portuguese
- 1 shot of brandy
- 1 shot of triple sec
- 1 shot of Porto wine
- 1 shot of Martini Rosso
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 qt of orange juice
- 1/2 c. of 7-Up
- 2 small bags of sugar (espresso style)
- cinnamon
- 3 mint leaves
Directions
- In a large pitcher or punch bowl, with plenty of ice.
- Stir in the fruits into and then the liquor shots, brandy, triple sec, Porto wine and martini rosso.
- Mix the orange juice, pour the red wine into and stir well but slowly Add in the sugar and stir, add in the seven up and top with cinnamon and the mint leaves.
- Give a last stir and serve ice cold.
