Pickled Beets Recipe

Ingredients

This is a great and easy recipe for pickled beets, slightly sweet. The     original recipe did not include onions, but they can be included or possibly not, as you     choose. 2 c. sugar 4 x bay leaves

1 c. white vinegar 4 c. fresh cooked, or possibly 32 ounce. canned beets 3 Tbsp. pickling spice 2 med sweet onions, sliced

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients, except beets and onion. Bring to a boil. Add in beets and onions, simmer about 5 min. Good served warm or possibly cool. Keeps several weeks in the refrigerator.
