Penne With Chicken & Shitake Mushrooms In Pink Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into 1/2" strips, 2" long
- 1/4 pound shitake mushrooms, minced
- 3 c. heavy cream
- 4 c. tomato sauce
- 3 shallots, cleaned & diced
- 1/8 c. extra virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Flour to cover
Directions
- Cook pasta as directed.
- Sauce: Place 1/8 c. oil in fry pan. Flour chicken pcs. Saute/fry chicken in oil till browned. Add in shallots, cook 2 min more. Add in tomato sauce; cook 3 min more. Add in cream; let boil. Put pasta in sauce. Garnish with fresh basil.
