Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb Butter
  • 1 c. Confectioners Sugar
  • 3 c. Flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 3/4 c. Pecans, finely minced

Directions

  1. Cream butter and confectioners' sugar together till light.
  2. Sift flour and salt together and add in to creamed mix. Add in vanilla and blend thoroughly. Add in pecans.
  3. Gather dough into a ball, wrap in wax paper, and refrigeratetill hard.
  4. Roll out chilled dough to 1/2" thickness. Using a cookie cutter, cut out cookies. Sprinkle tops with granulated sugar. Place cut out cookies on ungreased cookie sheet and chill for 45 min before baking.
  5. Preheat oven to 325F. Bake for 20 min or possibly till just starting to color lightly; cookies shouldn't brown at all. Cold on rack.
