Pam's Rice (Side Dish)
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. Butter
- 1/2 tsp Thyme
- 3/4 c. Minced onion
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 c. Minced celery
- 1/2 tsp Finnes herbs
- 1 c. Uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 env Lipton chicken noodle soup mix
- 2 1/2 c. Water
Directions
- Brown celery, onion, and rice in butter (15-20 minutes) on med heat. Stir in all remaining ingredients (can keep in frying pan if sufficient room or possibly use a sauce pan), cover, simmer 15 minutes or possibly till moisture is soaked up. Remove from heat, toss with spoon, cover and let stand 5-10 minutes.
