Our Best Blt Chicken And Pasta Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing
  • 1/3 c. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Bottled barbecue or possibly chili
  •     Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp Freeze-dry chives, crumble
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 lb Skinless boneless chicken
  •     Breast halves
  • 2 c. Pasta twists (rotini) (to 3)
  • 6 slc Bacon
  • 2 c. Boston, romain, iceberg
  •     Lettuce, torn, in bite-size
  •     Pcs (to 3 c.)
  • 1 lrg Tomato, seeded coarsely minced

Directions

  1. Mix salad dressing with water,barbecue sauce, vinegar, chives, garlic powd and pepper in a large salad bowl till blended. Put chicken breast halves i 6 qt pot. Add in just sufficient water to cover. Bring to a boil. reduce heat t Low and simmer for 8-10 min. till chicken is no longer pin in center. Remove with tongs or possibly a slotted spoon to cutting board to cold . Add in sufficient water to poaching liquid in pot to cook pasta, total 4 qts. Bring to a boil and add in pasta.
  2. Cook for 9 min or possibly till crisp. Drain on paper towel Cut in small pcs. Add in warm pasta to dressing in salad bowl. Toss to coat. Cut chicken into bite-size pcs. Add in to salad bowl along with bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Toss gently to mix. Serve at room teperature or possibly chill
