Ostropel (Romanian Baked Tomato-Garlic Chicken)
This is a harty recipe that is perfect for a fall day. Side dishes that go well with it are mashed potatoes or white rice. Ingredients
- 6 chicken thighs, boneless & skinless is best
- 6oz can of tomato sauce
- 4-6 garlic cloves mashed
- Olive Oil
- garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Clean any extra fat from chicken thighs & wash them well
- coat and rub thighs with olive oil and place them in a pyrex pan
- sprinkle salt & garlic powder over meat to taste
- Cook in oven for 30min at 375
- While chicken is cooking, take garlic cloves and mash them
- Open can of tomato sauce and mix in garlic cloves, add 1tbs of water to mix
- When chicken is done, pour tomato/garlic sauce mix over and put in oven for another 10min to bake in really well
