Old fashioned recipe my mother-in-law used to make. She was hard pressed to give me exact amounts. She slices her cucumber first and then adds the wet ingredients to cover it. In other words, there is no recipe. If you need an exact recipe, see the link provided. It's very close

    Ingredients

    • Sliced cucumbers
    • sliced white onion
    • salt
    • pepper
    • sugar
    • white vinegar
    • water

    Directions

    1. Combine sliced cucumbers, white onion, salt and pepper into a bowl.
    2. In a separate bowl combine 2 parts water to 1 part vinegar to 1/2 part sugar. Stir to combine. You may wish to boil these to completely dissolve the sugar granules (your choice).
    3. Pour over the vegetables.
    4. Salt and Pepper to Taste.
    5. Refrigerate, especially if your dressing was boiled.
    6. Alternately, you may place all the ingredients into a large mason jar and refrigerate, shaking to combine. You may then continually add more cucumbers as the season progresses.
