No Peek Stew

One of the Cheater Recipes. I'll give you the basic and then tell you that I added a few things: carrots, celery, 1/2 a can of water (would've added red wine if I'd had it; added the water bc I wanted gravy), and thyme. The side dish is Peas with Celery Root from Epicurious. Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 can cream of mushroom/chicken/celery soup
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 8 oz. package package sliced mushrooms (or 4 oz. canned)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a casserole dish and cover with foil.
  2. Bake @ 350 degrees fahrenheit for 2 hours.
