New Year's Steak 'N' Shrimp
Ingredients
- 6 x unpeeled jumbo fresh shrimp
- 1 x garlic clove sliced
- 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine melted
- 3 Tbsp. dry white wine
- 2 x beef tenderloin steaks, 1" thick
- Fresh parsley sprigs for garnish
Directions
- Peel and devein shrimp, leaving tails intact. Cook garlic in butter in small skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Add in shrimp; cook, stirring constantly, 5 min or possibly till shrimp turn pink. Add in wine; stir well. Cover mix; set aside, and keep hot.
- Place steaks on rack of a broiler pan; broil 5 1/2 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially opened) 4 to 5 min on each side or possibly to desired degree of doneness.
- Place steaks on individual serving plates. Arrange shrimp on steaks; spoon wine sauce over shrimp. Garnish, if you like.
- This recipe yields 2 servings.
