I LOVE naan and it was sooo easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 pack dry active yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 c lukewarm water (like the milk you'd give a baby)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c oil
  • 1/3 c plain greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c flour

Directions

  1. Proof the yeast in the water with the sugar. Should take about 5 minutes and be foamy and smell really good.
  2. Mix in oil, salt, yogurt and egg.
  3. Stir in the flour 1/2 c at a time. When it becomes too hard to stir, turn it out onto the counter and knead until it's smooth.
  4. Put it in a lightly oiled bowl and let it double in size.
  5. After it's doubled, about 45 minutes, cut into 8 equal pieces.
  6. Roll each piece out as you use it to a think pancake like shape.
  7. Cook in a hot, sprayed skillet until there are bubbles on the back side; just like a pancake.
  8. Flip and cook until those bubbles are brown and golden.
