Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 sm. Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr

Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add in Large eggs. Mix well. Add in molasses and vanilla. In a large bowl combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda and baking pwdr. Add in dry ingredients to creamed mix slowly. Divide batter. Make into rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill.
  2. Slice and bake at 375 degrees for 8 min or possibly make small balls of dough flatten with sugared glass and bake. May be dropped off tsp. and baked also.
