Mojito (Cocktail Cuba)
Ingredients
- 3 1/3 tbsp (5 cl) rum ideally añejo (3 year old Havana Club)
- 1 tsp cane sugar
- Juice of ½ lime
- 4 peppermint, mint leaves ("hierba buena"),
- Seltzer water or possibly soda water
- Ice
- Angostura
Directions
- Crush mint leaves in mortar
- Place crushed mint leaves in glass
- Add in lemon, sugar and a few drops of angostura and stir.
- Fill glass halfway with crushed ice
- Add in rum and mix
- Top off glass with seltzer water
- Serve in tall glass with a tiny mint leaf for decoration
