Melt in your Mouth Ribs
This recipe was handed down to me by my aunt. This is the rib recipe that you use for a dinner party with your closest friends. The cook time and easy finishing touches makes it ideal for entertaining. Everyone will say "OH GOSH", they are that good! Ingredients
- 4 lbs pork ribs
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. hickory smoke salt
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper (I cut this in half for the kids)
- 2 c. your favorite BBQ sauce (Trader Joe's Bold is my favorite)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 deg. F
- Peel off tough membrane that covers the bony side of the ribs
- Mix together the sugar and spices to make the rub
- Apply rub to ribs on all sides
- Lay ribs on two layers of foil, shiny side out and meaty side down
- Lay two layers of foil on op of ribs and roll and crimp edges tightly
- Place on cookie sheet and bake for 2 1/2 hours or until meat is falling away from the bone
- Remove from oven
- Heat broiler
- Cut ribs into 2-3 rib portions
- Brush sauce on ribs, bony side up
- Broil until sauce is cooked on and bubbling
- Flip ribs and repeat on other side
