This recipe was handed down to me by my aunt. This is the rib recipe that you use for a dinner party with your closest friends. The cook time and easy finishing touches makes it ideal for entertaining. Everyone will say "OH GOSH", they are that good!

    Ingredients

    • 4 lbs pork ribs
    • 3/4 c. light brown sugar
    • 1 tsp. hickory smoke salt
    • 1 tbsp. paprika
    • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper (I cut this in half for the kids)
    • 2 c. your favorite BBQ sauce (Trader Joe's Bold is my favorite)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 300 deg. F
    2. Peel off tough membrane that covers the bony side of the ribs
    3. Mix together the sugar and spices to make the rub
    4. Apply rub to ribs on all sides
    5. Lay ribs on two layers of foil, shiny side out and meaty side down
    6. Lay two layers of foil on op of ribs and roll and crimp edges tightly
    7. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 2 1/2 hours or until meat is falling away from the bone
    8. Remove from oven
    9. Heat broiler
    10. Cut ribs into 2-3 rib portions
    11. Brush sauce on ribs, bony side up
    12. Broil until sauce is cooked on and bubbling
    13. Flip ribs and repeat on other side
