Linguini With Tomato Basil Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 x cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 3 c. Italian plum tomatoes, coarsely minced salt and pepper, to taste
- 18 ounce linguini, or possibly other thin pasta
- 1 bn fresh basil leaves, no stems, minced
- 12 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Directions
- Sauteegarlic in extra virgin olive oil till golden brown, but not brown. Add in tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer over med. heat for 20 min
- Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package. When sauce is done simmering, remove from heat and stir in basil. Toss pasta with sauce and serve. Top with cheese.
