KUHLUA CORN ON THE GRILL
Ingredients
- 8 ears of corn
- 1 Tlb. butter
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 3/4 c. Heinz chili sauce
- 1/4 c. Kahlua
- 2 Tlb. brown sugar
- 3 Tlb. pineapple juice
- 1 Tlb. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 dashes Tabasco sauce
- 2 T. corn starch
- 1/4 c. water
Directions
- In a saucepan, melt butter and saute onions until clear.
- Blend in chili sauce, Kahlua, brown sugar, pineapple juice,Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco.
- Simmer 5 minutes. Make a thin paste of cornstarch in water;
- add to sauce slowly,while stirring.Set aside.
- Boil or steam corn, but remove a few minutes before ears are done.(about 15 minutes).
- Place on grill 4-6 inches above heat element and baste with sauce. Turn and baste several times until corn is marked and glazed
- about 5-10 minutes.
