Karla's Apple Pie By Karla Heidenreich
Ingredients
- 1 x unbaked 9" pie shell
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3 c. apples peeled - minced
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 x egg beaten
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream streusel topping
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 c. butter
Directions
- Mix next 7 ingredients together. Place in crust. Bake at 400` for 45 min.
- STREUSEL TOPPING: While pie is baking, mix remaining ingredients together. Sprinkle streusel on pie and return to oven. Bake at 350` for 15 min longer. Serve hot with ice cream. Chill leftovers.
- NOTES: Here's this week's First Place Winner in our local recipe contest. Our Home Economist and tester says it has a wonderful custard surrounding the apples, and a crisp sugary topping. She says it disappeared quickly at her house.
