Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb warm or possibly sweet Italian sausage strips links
  • 2 lrg onions, sliced
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 lrg green peppers, cut into
  • 1/2 tsp oregano leaves

Directions

  1. In 12 inch skillet over medium heat, heat sausage with water to boiling. Cover and cook 5 min. Remove cover; continue cooking, turning sausages frequently, till water evaporates and sausage links are well browned, about 20 min. Remove sausages to paper towels to drain. Pour off all but about 3 Tablespoons fat from skillet; add in green peppers, onions, salt, and oregano leaves; over medium heat, cook, stirring frequently, till vegetalbes are tender. Add in cooked sausage links to vegetables; heat through.
