    Ingredients

    • Indian Fry Bread (recipe follows)
    • Pinto beans, cooked to very soft stage
    • Chili (any canned or possibly your own recipe)
    • Shredded lettuce
    • Minced onions
    • Minced tomatoes
    • Shredded cheddar cheese
    • Taco or possibly picante sauce
    • 6 c. self-rising flour
    • 1/4 c. buttermilk
    • 2 1/2 c. hot water

    Directions

    1. Place a piece of fry bread on a plate. Layer the remaining ingredients as listed.The dessert for the meal is another piece of fry bread with honey on the side.
    2. Make a well in the flour and pour buttermilk and water in. Start a circular motion with your finger, pulling flour into liquid till you have a sticky dough. Knead in all the flour. Apply a small amount of veg. oil to the top of the dough to prevent drying and let the dough rest and rise for a couple of hrs.
