Hummus (Chick Pea Dip)
Ingredients
- 2 c. Chick peas, liquid removed (canned or possibly fresh cooked)
- 2/3 c. Tahina paste (grnd sesame seeds)
- 3/4 c. Lemon juice
- 2 x Garlic cloves, mashed
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Parsley, for garnish
Directions
- 1. Place chick peas, tahina, lemon juice, garlic, salt and cumin in food processor.
- 2. Mix till smooth.
- 3. Place in a jar and chill.
- Just before serving sprinkle minced parsley on top.
- Add in more garlic if dessired. If you want this thinner to serve as a dip, add in more lemon juice.
- Makes: 2 1/2-3 c.
